Political Bites

Joe Wilson, former UCSB "C" student, surfer dude, party boy, and blow hard, is a UCSB grad.  Now I know where this self-aggrandizing putz got his basic training. 

UCSB Non-Judgmental Bite

Last month a 25-year-old UCSB alumnus died while attending a wedding in Santa Barbara.  His blood alcohol was reported to be two and one half times the legal limit, and it was reported that he was  in fight at a "gentlemen's club" over a $900 bill for lap dances.    The "responsible party" habits learned at UCSB seem to last a lifetime.  Truly sad.  

UCSB Judgmental Bites

Very helpful. Parents who want to know the crime stats at UCSB can look them up on the school's web.  The only problem is the latest year posted on the UCSB website is 2004.  Note to self: check calendar,  I could have swore it was 2006.   

Rumor: Steve-O is Chancellor Yang's  new advisor on student conduct.  UCSB's new motto: "If it's good enough for Steve-O, it's good enough for UCSB." 

The UCSB Nexus elevates the image of UCSB with articles like "Dear Sir/Madam who stole my bicycle,"  Nice, real nice.  Very thought provoking and insightful.
