UCSB Bites 9
UCSB Bites – June 9, 2007
Political Bites
Let me get this straight. You
sneak into the country illegally, falsify documents, gain admittance to UCSB
under false pretenses, and you are the victim?
UCSB Non-Judgmental Bites
OK, maybe this is judgmental: can someone check
Yang's green card. UCSB ties for last place and is on a
downward trend. Did anyone in the Administration notice that the
trend was going in a negative direction? Did anyone think that it might
be an issue that should be addressed? Perhaps the admin just didn't want
to disturb the Buffy and Lance party scene. Seems like the
party fun may be gettin' in the way of learnin' – party on Yang. $10
million lost – nice, real nice. Let's see
if Yang will vote for the money or the party. Just to put it in context,
the loss of funding is about $555 per student.
UCSB Judgmental Bites
Allegedly,
the word alleged is allegedly used to often in the alleged official news organ
of UCSB's student body. Come on, she is a UCSB student who
is merely practicing what she has learned at the august towers of principled
learning (UCSB), "in
the real world, if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying."
Another proud moment in UCSB journalism that actually reflects what entirely too many
UCSB students are learning. Notice I didn't say "allegedly"
learning.
The first non-PIKE fight night gets half the
expected attendance and raises 50 percent more for charity than last year.
Next year, if no one attends, we could increase the charity donation even
more. Regardless of how it is spun, the A.S. funding actually went to the
Primo Boxing Club. Is the purpose of A.S. money to fund local charities
(if that actually is occurring)? I did like the part where it was
revealed that since there was no T&A, fewer people (horny
guys) attended.
Respectfully submitted,
Banjo Reams
Editor's alleged comment: It has been alleged that
Banjo is allegedly too judgmental. We disagree, He is not
allegedly too judgment, he is too judgmental.
